Temperature control is a revolutionary function in the world of vaping, but it remains a point to clarify for many vapers.

Also known as TC (Temperature Control) or VT (Variable Temperature), this function is present on most of the Box mods or Mods sold on the market.

It allows, rather than managing the heating power (in Watts) or the voltage sent to the resistance (in Volts), to directly block or adjust the temperature (in °C) of the resistance.

The heating is gradual and helps to preserve the resistance by avoiding overheating it.

The actual temperature of the resistance is not detected in this case, this TC mode is based solely on the heating variation of the resistance.

Devices operating with temperature control use pure Nickel or Titanium resistances. However, Kanthal or Nichrome resistors are not compatible with this system due to a too low coefficient, almost non-existent resistance variations and are not accurately measurable.

The advantages:

  • Protects the resistance
  • Avoids the "Dry Hit"
  • Consistent rendering
  • Prevents the creation of acrolein (a carcinogenic substance)
  • Healthier vaping
